Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Located along the port at Abu Dhabi, ECO Island is a concept  plan for a new city extension for up to 200,000 people.  The master plan envisions a series of islands reclaimed from the bay that would allow for the development of three town centers oriented onto Marinas.  A series of natural island serving as reclaimed marsh habitation would form the perimeter of the project.   

The purpose of the development is to house local Emiratee in housing types suited to their needs.  Metrocology worked on a multi-disciplinary team of consultants lead by Oppenheim Architecture to establish the structure plan and urban design for the project.
